Former National District Attorney and dean of Law at Unibe, politician Guillermo Moreno campaigned for President Luis Abinader during the one-hour National District senate seat debate vs Omar Fernandez, the son of former three-term President Leonel Fernandez.
In the previously aired Santiago debate that opened the series of Senate televised debates, the better expositions were those of Demóstenes Martinez for the Fuerza del Pueblo and Dr. Daniel Rivera for the PRM. Former Deputy Marino Collante, running for the PLD, had difficulties when verbalizing his answers.
The Santiago debate happened to the backdrop of President Luis Abinader taking his weekly press conference to Santiago and dedicating his introduction to tell what his administration has done for Santiago.
