El Dotolcito sentenced to jail for murder

The judges of the Second Collegiate Court of the National District were unanimous in their sentencing of Alison de Jesús Pérez Mejía (Chiquito), Luis Brito Troncoso (Luisito) and Wesly Vincent Carmona, alias “el Dotolcito,” respectively, to 30, 20 and 15 years in prison on Thursday, 25 April 2024. The ruling for the high-profile trial was levied for the robbery that led to the death of 19-year old Joshua Fernández, an innocent bystander in the robbery at the Kiss Bar in the Naco neighborhood.

Alison de Jesús Pérez Mejía (Chiquito) was sentenced to 30 years in jail for firing the shot that killed Fernandez.

El Doctorcito got the lightest sentence of the three, which is still a lot. If he will do the entire jail time and not be let out early, he will be in his mid-30’s when he comes out. Nastra might continue to have dark circles under his eyes for quite some time.

It is a reflection of a failed system.

Try a very basic process with the police…..such as a robbery…..no one will help you. Even if you show them a video…..they will not even investigate any thing.
Try bring a querella before a fiscal…..fill out the forms…..they will not investigate…..they will do nothing……without a bribe……..the fiscal will tell you……we will investigate and do nothing……they will not cite any one without a bribe……they will not give you a docket number…..they will not send the citations….you have to pay for it……you will have to go multiple time to the fiscal to get the citation date…..the ministerio public is a jock…the victim becomes a doubt victim……the investors in dominican republic beware…….go where you are wanted and repected…..

Exactly.
It's a lawless country and even some expats have left due to so much extortion from the system.
Such as Taylormadedreams after he was a victim of home invasion with video... well guess what... they didn't do jack sh!t about it... unless he paid dollars first. Just too many people accross the board going out of their way to separate you from your money.

Not to mention hospital billing scams.
