Does anyone get the impression that the Dawn dish soap here isn't the real McCoy?

Everything is possible here. It's pretty easy to fake color, smell etc. Exact Viscosity is extremely difficult to get.
Buy one at amazon, one here, store them at the same temperature for 24 hours and check;

You might even have a point. Pricemart is advertising it as "Dawn Lavaplatos Liquido Original" !
Why mentioning "Original" ??? Seems to be that there are a lot of fakes in the DR Market, otherwise they wouldn't mention it.

I'd say about 40% of "American Made" products on the shelves across this country (pick your store) are either adulterated or straight up counterfit with only exception being Pricemart.
fakes in the DR.......well now I even know some fake people and more than a few in the DR....................
The way to find out if it's real is it to use it in ocean water. It's the only soap that will create suds.
You may be surprised at the amount of items that are counterfeited in this country. Nothing is immune.Really....OMG.....
Ha! How naive I am! We use Dawn for almost all cleaning jobs except laundry. Dawn and vinegar are our cleaning products in my house. I buy 2-3 large bottles of Dawn every couple of weeks! Guess because I am not the one doing the cleaning, I never realized it was different.
A few years ago, I bought some Tide at Supermercado Nacional. Not sure what the issue was but it was watery and had no suds.
