Manuel Quiterio Cedeño has been named the recipient of the 2025 National Journalism Prize, a prestigious recognition of his extensive career and significant contributions to the development of journalism and communication in the Dominican Republic, Listin Diario reports. The award comes with a RD$1 million deposit.
The announcement was jointly made by the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic (Minerd) and the Dominican Association of Journalists (CDP). Cedeño was unanimously selected by the jury members.
According to a press release, upon receiving news of the award from Minister of Education Luis Miguel De Camps, Cedeño expressed his gratitude and pride in receiving such a distinguished honor.
