The Central Electoral Board (JCE) disbursed over RD$375 million to political parties and movements in the Dominican Republic between January and March 2025, adhering to the state funding authorized by Law 33-18.
According to a report from the JCE’s Specialized Financial Control of Political Parties, 38 parties and political movements that gained legal recognition following the 2024 elections received these funds.
The JCE report details that the three major parties, which garnered over 5% of the valid votes in the 2024 election, have already received a combined total of RD$300 million for January, February, and March 2025. The Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), and the People’s Force (Fuerza del Pueblo) are the primary beneficiaries, having surpassed the 5% threshold in the most recent electoral contest.
