Virtually the first and only woman you've met in this country, and you've decided she is the one; something that literally does not happen to ANY MAN in this country, but you decided she's the one and you know you can take care of her and control her with your money. Sheesh.

Thousands of women work in those hotels. What makes her different?

You've made your mind up, and there is nothing that anyone here is going to say that will change your mind.

You are going to lose everything you have in the states, and this woman's expectations will increase on a daily basis until you finally realize she's not in love with you, she's in love with your money. First a house, then furniture, then appliances, then a car... She can take your money to the bank: she can't buy anything with loyalty, love and affection.

Chris knew the culture and used the culture to the hilt. This dude knows zero. CC would chew him up and eat him for breakfast faster than that "bus" goes back and forth to her omelet flipping place.

Mr Jones, sometimes you meet somebody in life and you get a special feeling... you cannot explain why.. but you feel it in your stomach... you don't analyze it, dissect it, or run it through a logical process. I've come across many women in my life..all nationalities etc. I was drawn to her...its an intangible. When I put my arm on her shoulder I felt something very special... I cannot explain it.

Brother... I know exactly what you are saying.

It happened to me a hundred times. I finally realized what was really happening.

You will not believe how fast the demands will come, how subtle they will be, and how frustrating it will make your life when you try to say enough is enough. You'll see another side of that woman you would have never believed existed.

That is why I keep trying to make you understand that you are not the first. You won't be the last. It's not too late to wake up and smell the coffee.

Indeed there are and if I had to guess I'd say about 0.05% of women in this country
fall within that group. The rest are a real hand full and will definitely clean you
out mentally, physically and financially at every given opportunity.

After 10 years of living here, I won't even bother exchanging phone numbers
with them unless they are at least 35 yrs of age or older with a job. Personally I've never
had any bad experiences with younger ones but I know plenty of gringos who have.

I live with feet in two countries, DR and USA. And listen to you disparaging all Dominican men, when you won’t listen to anyone about your Dominican woman!!!! Think about that.

I’m married to a Dominican man these last 47 years. The big difference is that we met when we were in our 20s, we’re the same age (he’s 2 years older), we have similar educational background, similar upbringing, he had a job/career that transitioned easily to the USA, he spoke English, he had a USA visa, and has been an excellent, hard working husband/father/grandfather. All of the beginning of that sentence is mostly why our marriage is successful. None of it applies to your relationship.

I truly hope I’m wrong about your girl, but the odds are stacked high against you.
